Biography

Nathan Gaffney is a trial lawyer who represents people and families harmed in commercial truck crashes. For the past decade he has litigated catastrophic trucking cases across the country against the largest corporations in the trucking industry, and he has helped secure multiple verdicts and settlements in the seven- and eight-figure range.
Before representing plaintiffs, Nathan defended high-exposure catastrophic injury cases for a national trial team, which taught him how the defense values and fights a case. In 2015 he represented the Council of State Court Judges of Georgia before the Supreme Court of Georgia and received the Guardian of Justice award for that work.
Nathan is a national voice on artificial intelligence in litigation. He serves on the State Bar of Georgia’s Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Committee, sits on the executive committee of AAJ’s Technology Section, and chairs two national AI committees. He has written for the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group’s journal, is on AAJ’s AI Essentials for Plaintiff Attorneys faculty, and speaks around the country on AI. He has been selected to Super Lawyers every year from 2024 through 2027.
