On December 1, Rule 30(b)(6) will be amended to establish the need for a “meet and confer” before taking a 30(b)(6) deposition. Some states have amended their rules to conform to the federal rule; others have added different provisions within their own rules. Powerful interests petitioned the Federal Rules Committee in an attempt to water down Rule 30(b)(6). Defense strategies to evade disclosures from 30(b)(6) depositions have evolved, and you will need to update your tactics in order to effectively adapt.

Mark Kosieradzki will highlight how to implement the rule change into your practice, as well as his new approach to neutralizing objections to document/ESI discovery. This ninety-minute webinar will cover:

  • An overview of Rule 30(b)(6)
  • Duties of the responding organization
  • Duties of the requesting party
  • How to use Rule 30(b)(6) to neutralize discovery objections
  • How to effectively implement the change to Rule 30(b)(6)
