Publisher's note: This is the audiobook version of the Trial Guides hardback edition of David Ball on Damages 3. David Ball reads you the content on this book.
David Ball on Damages is America's bestselling text on proving damages. Now, David Ball on Damages 3 teaches you how to integrate the Reptile and Rules of the Road methods, along with new voir dire techniques, into the classic Damages method. Damages 3 provides step-by-step guidance on how to prepare opening statements; how to handle cross-examinations and defense "expert" examinations; and new, key methods that explain the relationship between liability and damages. David Ball on Damages 3 is filled with improvements and refinements based on thousands of hours of research and real case preparation that Ball and his partner, Artemis Malekpour, have uncovered since the second edition's 2005 release. Ball explains why jurors give, why they do not, and how to motivate them to provide a large verdict. Damages 3 provides practical, effective, and innovative methods for pursuing damages, while alerting readers to pitfalls that both new and experienced attorneys are prone to. The techniques and tools that Damages 3 provides counter sophisticated opposition tactics, the public mood, and laws and rules that continue to grow more hostile.

"Damages 3"
"This review is purely of this product as an audiobook. It is one track and not broken up into chapters that you can select through any of the common media players. That is horrendously sloppy in this day and age. This significantly limits the books usefulness as a reference, turning it into not much more than a roadtrip listen. Until they fix this, avoid getting the audiobook and read the paper."
"I'm not a lawyer, or a man of any significant academic title. I do study law in general and the Bible. Communication involves bringing others to understanding. This was tragically true in Adam's time, revealingly true in Jesus time, and it is still Mans reality today. David Ball's Damages 3, without saying it, conveys Quality over Quantity. If there is no understanding, ones account, true as it may be, has not actually been heard, and could not be considered, no matter how many fine words were used to describe it. The courts are where we exercise our right to be heard. But there is no grantee the people to which you make your righteous, well thought out and researched case, will actually hear and comprehend your side of the argument. David Ball does a great job in Damages 3 describing how to enable an audience to efficiently experience your story as if they were there. He describes trusting the audience to come to the fair conclusions you did by enabling them to do it the same way you did. If they stand there beside you "experiencing" the journey chronologically with you, they will trust the conclusions they made on the way far more than anyone else's. We are an over entertained population. Theater with purpose, devoid of emotion, seems to cause us to insert our own emotions into the story. Tying that to a fact seems to tap into that facility of the mind that remembers because we translated the content to another form. This is far less mentally laborious in any setting than figuring out if 100 "trustworthy" facts from someone we don't know, are actually true. Facts and law being on our side doesn't necessarily mean we get brought to equity, preponderance is subjective and people still have to understand why your account is trustworthy and has more weight. Highly recommended."
"I have read Damages 1, and wanted to refresh myself on David's thoughts. Quite a bit of new information here. David is always full of great ideas to keep us focused on what we are asking for ."
"David’s system gives practitioners a track to run on. It’s a cohesive approach that ties together all aspects from discovery to closing."
"This will be my trial bible. It provides a step by step approach to trial presentation and provides tons of helpful advice on juries."
"The length of the hardcover book is daunting but the chapters fly by with David Ball’s sonorous voice. The book itself remains an essential reference for me and this audio keeps the words with me during drives long and short."
"Loved the Book. I am a younger attorney and it gave me the confidence to walk in with well seasoned lawyers and cause them to panic with his methods."
