Biography
Timothy A. Sheriff is a Charlotte-based trial lawyer with a Board Certification in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Tim is the only Board Certified Truck Accident Lawyer with a North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Tim combines investigative experience and firsthand trucking knowledge to handle serious tractor-trailer, commercial motor vehicle, and car crash cases.
For five years, Tim served as a police officer in Columbia, South Carolina, where he learned the value of preserving evidence, locating witnesses, and holding negligent parties accountable. Today, he uses that skill set to fight for fair compensation for clients across North Carolina and in collaboration with lawyers nationwide on catastrophic truck crash cases.
Recognized by North Carolina Legal Elite, Super Lawyers, and The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, Tim also serves on the Board of Regents for the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys traveling with his wife, son, and daughter, hiking, fishing, and spending time with their two Australian Shepherds
