Join Jonathan Lommuro for a presentation that focuses on the digital evidence that increasingly drives medical malpractice litigation, including electronic health-record audit logs, badge and swipe data, clinical alerts, internal communications, and other metadata that may confirm, contradict, or complete medical charts.
Attorneys will gain a practical understanding of how to identify, request, preserve, analyze, and use these data sources in discovery, depositions, expert review, motion practice, and trial. The program will address how audit trails can expose timing issues, late entries, chart access, order activity, medication administration, alert fatigue, and communication failures, while also helping attorneys recognize the limitations, terminology, and defenses commonly raised in response.
The seminar will also explore “digital playgrounds” and other hidden or underappreciated systems where key information may exist outside the traditional chart. By the end of the program, attorneys will be better equipped to ask sharper discovery questions, work more effectively with experts, uncover the digital story behind care, and use healthcare data to prove notice, delay, deviation, causation, and credibility.
