This image shows the mechanism of injury in a rear end collision including normal anatomy at rest, extension / distraction of the neck, hyperextension of the neck, and hyperflexion of the neck. Inset images demonstrate damage to the anterior longitudinal ligament and the posterior inter-spinal muscles and ligaments that results in hypermobility and spondylolisthesis in the spine.   Optimal for use in traumatic neck injuries resulting from a motor vehicle collision sometimes referred to as “whiplash.”

Best used for demand letters on traumatic neck injury cases, as well as in mediation, arbitration or trial for traumatic cervical spine injuries.
