Biography

Dennis Suplee is counsel to Welsh & Recker, P.C. in Philadelphia. For most of his career, he was a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, where he handled a wide range of civil cases, including antitrust and RICO cases, many different kinds of commercial disputes, trademark and patent cases, insurance coverage litigation, and product liability litigation. From 1992 to 1998, he served as Chair of the Schnader Firm. Best Lawyers in America named him Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for intellectual property litigation in 2013 and Philadelphia Lawyer of the Year for bet-the-company litigation in 2009.

 

Mr. Suplee is a Fellow and former President of The International Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a Fellow and former Regent of The American College of Trial Lawyers. Besides being listed in Best Lawyers in America, he is listed in Chambers USA and in the International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigation. Mr. Suplee has served as President of the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Inn of Court, as a Trustee of St. Joseph’s University, and on the Secretary of Navy’s Advisory Board on Education and Training. 

 

Mr. Suplee serves as an arbitrator and mediator for complex commercial cases and has been appointed a number of times as a special master by federal district court judges.
