The Secret

Trial Guides is a new, cutting edge, legal media company dedicated solely to helping Civil Plaintiff's lawyers to win. We strive to bring only the greatest resources to you in one location. In our quest to provide trial lawyers the best resources to win, we have come to realize an important secret about trial lawyers that we would like to share.

During the early years of the company we recognized a trend that has now proven itself a concrete rule about trial lawyers. Every time Trial Guides releases a product, our first customers for that product are many of the best, most celebrated trial lawyers in the country. At first we asked ourselves, "if they are already the best, why are they interested in changing their strategy?" It then became apparent that these lawyers are the best in the country because they diligently work, read, and study the art of advocacy so that they remain the best. It now comes as little surprise that when Trial Guides releases a new book, DVD, or AudioBook, these lawyers jump on the opportunity to learn from our authors. And then, often times, they order copies of it for every lawyer in their office.

It came as a surprise that the unknown lawyer wouldn't grasp for something that would make them great, or even competent. The first evidence came when the main audience for our book on insurance settlement procedures was high end bad faith lawyers, rather than the lawyers handling the personal injury claims evaluated by these procedures. Here was the only book that provided personal injury lawyers the key to the way their claims were being evaluated. But, the lawyers who needed the book the most never bought it. It made no sense. As time moved on, we noticed an alarming amount of high volume practice lawyers who had never read the most basic of all books on trial strategy like David Ball on Damages. The question is "Why?"

What we have come to realize, is that to be great, you need to appreciate what makes other lawyers great. The best lawyers in the country are loyal Trial Guides customers because they realize that Trial Guides only creates, and distributes, the best resources by the best legal authors; Gerry Spence, David Ball, Rick Friedman, Jim Perdue, Don Keenan, Dr. Michael Freeman, and more. We cover the legal issues that impact our society. Trial Guides' book From Good Hands to Boxing Gloves has now been featured in multiple national news stories, including a 30 minute CNN story "Little Crash, Little Cash." [Watch: Part 1 | Part 2.] It is being used by Senators and Representatives in their consideration of Federal insurance reform. When was the last time that a legal text made such a significant impact in the media, and provided such a positive perspective on how lawyers work to stop corporate wrongdoing? When was the last time that a legal textbook so significantly challenged US Senators and Representatives to take on the insurance industry?

Trial Guides has become more than a legal publishing company. It has become a way of life for the finest lawyers in the nation. The resource to understand how to overcome jury bias, and continue winning. We call these lawyers "early adopters" of the techniques contained in our products. They are the leaders of the legal profession in this country. It is from there that word of our products spread by word of mouth and by way of legal listserves.

But, for those lawyers who aren't at the peak of the profession, you must ask yourself if you want to continue being only fair at what you do, or whether you want to learn from the best and become truly great? If so, we are here to help you in your quest for greatness. Start out with the Trial Lawyer Best Seller Package, and go from there.

In the coming year Trial Guides will release several new products aimed to help you win. In early summer, Trial Guides will bring you Polarizing the Case: Exposing & Defeating the Malingering Myth by Rick Friedman. We believe it will be the best selling legal publication of 2007, as it addresses a fundamental problem seen by lawyers at every level in nearly every kind of case. It takes over where Litigating Minor Impact Soft Tissue Cases, by Koehler and Freeman left off. Next, we are proud to announce that after several years of work, we will be releasing Moe Levine on Advocacy. Moe Levine was the greatest lawyer of his generation, and the first to provide any significant books or lectures on the topic of Advocacy. His books have been out of print for many years, and are not even available on the used market. So, we will be bringing you a book on the public lectures and closing statements of Moe Levine with an introduction by Inner Circle member Don Keenan. Later in 2007, Trial Guides will release the Audio CD version of our best selling book Rules of the Road, read by authors Patrick Malone and Rick Friedman. In late 2007, Trial Guides will be presenting a new DVD by David Ball, Ph.D. on how to do focus groups, a series of DVDs by Eric Oliver on non verbal communication in trial, and a 10 CD set on representing children called "Representing the Faces of the Future" by Inner Circle member, and child advocate, Don Keenan.

There is one more product. One that will be the most important release of all. But, that's a secret too. Check back later this year for that important announcement.
