In this video DVD, Jim Perdue, one of America’s leading trial lawyers, provides you with the keys to winning trials by using stories that the jury already knows. This video explores the concepts behind Perdue's best selling legal text Winning with Stories. Perdue shows how to craft a story with a strong beginning, memorable scenes, believable characters, a logical plot, vivid action, and a moving conclusion. He then demonstrates how to tell the story to maximum effect, including consideration of mannerisms, physical movement, and use of illustrative visuals. During his lecture on this Winning with Stories DVD, Jim Perdue references many useful analogies, quotations, and stories, provides their roots in ancient and modern history, the Bible, children’s tales, books, movies, plays, and folklore. After providing these invaluable resources as potential stories for your own case, Perdue provides examples of the opening statements and closing arguments he has used to inspire juries to a just verdict. Like Perdue’s books, this Winning with Stories DVD will be an indispensable reference for any trial lawyer seeking more effective persuasion techniques. |
